Meditation is include in all classes. From a quarter hour for your Mondays and Wednesdays classes to a the great moving meditation for your tai chi classes. A standing five minute meditation in Fridays classes. It is important to quiet the Monkey brain so the wise Horse brain may led your life. This is a gift that can be learnt but takes practice.

"Mindfulness" equals paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present, and non judgmentally. Learning how to meditate.

"Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space lies our freedom and our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and happiness." Victor Frankl

We can usually experience emotions more vividly in the body than in the mind. Intuition is experienced in the body before we realise it in our minds - for example, that "gut feeling".  The most effective way to become more aware of our emotions is by learning to recognise and notice the changes in the body and how they correlate with emotions.

We aim to develop emotional intelligence, it will help make the most of yourself and your functions at a higher level than you may have already been capable of. We develop "neuroplasticity". - what we think, do, and pay attention to - changes the physical structure and function of our brains.  In mindfulness we help the brain work in a better way.

Mindfulness is one of the best predictors of fulfilment in life and success at work.  Its benefits include

  • the ability to create conditions for happiness

  • stellar work performance

  • outstanding leadership qualities

Learning to meditate will boost physical and mental health and wellbeing as well as for your grounding, insight and self understanding .

All practices are rooted in the centuries old Zen tradition. I have taught meditation for over 25 years and feel experienced to take you on this simple and beautiful journey.
